A tales of two Cities! London and Edinburgh

I know it's been awhile but I'm back!!! We made it to London had a blast and made it home safely, even after the 6 hour drive Scotland!
I meant to write while I was there and let everyone know how things were going but we were only in the room to sleep basically and for a good reason. Not only because we were out having a blast but because our hotel was... well not what we would consider a B&B to be especially in London. It did have free wifi though so I could send Wyatt a couples emails since I couldn't use my phone. Anyway shall we begin?......
I won't go into too much as it is rather difficult and I will probably just discuss the pictures

Day 1
Mom, Jesse and I arrive around 11:45ish London time. (Jesse left the states 8 hours after us mind you and he arrived only 30 minutes after us, not really fair) We headed to the "Bed & Breakfast" to drop off our stuff before going out to see things and ended up getting lost twist after we got off the tube. Just goes to show that pictures will directions don't help if they aren't applicable pictures!!!!

Finally, we made it and headed out to see the city. First and foremost we had to visit THE department store.... Harrods! That was AMAZING!!! They didn't stop people from taking pictures but I felt awkward taking pictures of the massive fresh foods section. I got over that fear once I found the hats though.... as you can see

The girl Jesse sat next to on the plane told him about a pub she worked at for 6 months and recommended we go eat there it was aptly named Shakespeare's. Dad met us when he finished with his meeting for the day.

Next came the big adventures. We walked Past the Royal Mews, which you could guess by smell rather than sight, and on to Buckingham Palace. It was great to actually be able to see it. Last time we came there were so many people you couldn't see anything.

The Royal Mews and Buckingham Palace

Lastly we rounded out the day with a trip to Big Ben and West Minster Abby. Again I was excited to get to the Abby while there was still light unfortunately my old 35mm camera wasn't so good at taking pictures of big things at night.

We definitely slept well that night as we prepared for the following days events!

I must leave you now, but I will soon return to tell more of my wonderful journey to Great Britain!
Enjoy and Stay tuned!

I know it has been a LOOOOONNNNNGGG time since I have written and A LOT has happened.

To begin Daytona was amazing!!!! We unfortunately we came away in second place for the third year. As strange as it is to say at least this we took it from ourselves rather than having it taken from us. I was so relaxed though, at least when it came to the stresses from home. It was fun being able to hang out with Kathleen and the rest of the team. For the first time I actually felt like they liked me. Not that they didn't before but at home they will only come talk if something is wrong. I have put a few pictures below to show off my fabulous experience.
The beach outside the hotel, actually the hotel was built on the beach which triple in size throughout the day.
Pete and I throwin the guns on Daytona Beach!
Yay Rhys!Kathleen and I ready to begin our vacation part of this trip.
My two needy gingers. Stratton and Colin.
Lindsay and Matt, he doesn't take a regular pic
Ronni and Ashley with the flowers from our drinks. Not only did I talk myself into wearing a two piece they asked me to take a picture in a small stunt. I stunted!!!! haha! By the way I'm the one in the middle. Sorry I can't zoom.
Another thing that made me feel really good was getting invited to the end of the year cheer banquet. We had not been invited before but after spending so much time with Tracy in Daytona and her actually seeing what we've been doing allowed for this. Just before we left she went back to business Tracy but invited Kathleen and I to the banquet. I was/am very excited and honored especially after she made me cry by pointing out that I paid my way to go because I loved the team that much and I got a person round of applause. Not expected! I took a few pictures while there so here are a few.

Derry our Golden Spirit! His smile is infectious!!!

Jason Mr. knee injury number 3! At least he didn't leave his crutches in Daytona!Of course my "fearless" leader.

To wrap everything up for the last four years my final event was the Spring Football game. It wasn't until it was over that I realized I would never step foot on the field as an athletic training student working an event again. So just before the sky dumped gallons of water on us the team took one final picture not only with each other but as the only team I will come to know and work with at OSU. So to all of my wonderful cheer leaders, Thank you and I will miss you.

Cheer and Daytona!!!!

I was definitely excited about the fact that my test was finally over and I was getting ready for Daytona for 4 days. I guess I shouldn't put that in past tense but things haven't gone 100%, but we will start at the beginning.
Saturday the 4th of April began early with waking to get ready for my certification exam. (For those who will inevitably ask it is for my athletic training degree kinda a big deal!) My plan was to be gone by 7 am. I was very close I left my house at like 7:03 to get gas and left the gas station at 7:09 headed for Tulsa! Now my test didn't actually "start" until 9:30 but I wasn't taking chances. Surprisingly I wasn't nervous and it didn't hit me until I saw the exit I was suppose to take. I arrive about 8:15 and decide there is no reason to sit in my car I will just freak myself out. Instead I just decided I would go in use the restroom and wait. Well the first part was right the second not so much. I walk into the room at 8:30 and they ask me if I'm ready to begin. Of course I did it's not like I could learn anything in the next hour. So, the next 3 ish hours were spent looking at a computer screen trying to answer questions that spanned the last four years of my life, and then......... it was over.... Somewhat strange because it really did just end. I answered the last question without knowing it and it went to something completely different. Threw me for a loop. Finally I filled out the survey and walked out of the room thinking I just took the test that will determine my entire future and I don't feel bad at all! I'm not saying I passed and I'm not saying I didn't I just simply do not feel bad about it and I'm not going to worry for the next 4 weeks waiting for my scores.

Moving on.......

I am currently in Daytona and it has been a blast all except we got second again to the..... I'm not even going to say because I'm am frustrated. We didn't get cheated like last year instead we "beat" ourselves but it is still very frustrating because the cop outs throw the easiest stunts ever (seriously I could do them) and win! They do it simply because they want to play it safe and get yet another ring. grrrrrrr
Anyway I am still sooooo proud of my team and I will miss the energy around them next year. I am thinking about trying to come down next year, but we'll see.
Tomorrow will be a fun day on the beach and watching a bunch of drunk cheerleaders try to stunt. ATs nightmare or dream depending on how you look at it. I will assure you I am not talking about any of mine, I hope. Hopefully I will actually get some pictures tomorrow and put them up with the stories from tomorrow.

Until then peace, love, and ATs!

So as previously stated I am getting ready to take my BOC. TOMORROW as a matter of fact! Believe me at this point I'm not sure if I want to run and hind or just get it over with. I go through moments where I am fine and just want to hurry up and take it and other times when I am inches from tears. Over all the worst that can happen is I don't pass and retake it in June but I don't really like that idea. $300 is a lot of money. Anyway I really just wanted to give an update on what I have been doing for the last couple of weeks. The best thing about taking the test is that I leave on Tuesday for Daytona and I don't have to study or worry about it while I'm there!
This is all for now I will write once the hour has passed to let you know I am still alive. (I hope)
Remember to pray for me!

Stress

So after my last entry I wasn't around internet enough to write anything. During that time I was on Spring Break in Colorado, a time in which I had planned to get a lot of studying done. Those plans were rudely interrupted by four broken water pipes and new water fall. (read previous blogs for more on that) We came home Wednesday to three dogs instead of two. My parents had dropped off their "puppy" who is now bigger than Roxy and only 5 months old. Friday we went down to Lindsay for our Friends wedding that we were both in. Wyatt's first time as best man! We had a lot of fun and then had to return to the "real world" again.
Monday was fairly blah but tensions have quickly risen due to the fact that I take my test in less than two and am absolutely terrified! As a result of this I had two break downs on Tuesday. Not a fun experience. I'm am trying my best to not focus on the bad but the good and try to get some studying done but currently that is not going well..... Oh well it's just $300 right? HA!
Sorry about this being such a downer but for the next two weeks I will be just a little stressed. Hope things you be better for you.
With the hope of calm and peace until next time

So my plan for this week was to focus on studying and maybe a little bit of paper writing, but that was not a high point on my priority list. The plan was working out just fine until we actually pulled up to the cabin and found that a waterfall had been unintentionally installed in the kitchen via the upstairs bathroom plumbing. Needless to say it was a very eventful evening trying to make it back to town before the hardware store closed, even though it closed at noon, and then calling him to open the store and making a run back to try and fix it only to find out it couldn't be fixed until Monday. (all of the previous occurred on Saturday)
Finally, Sunday evening I started studying a bit but didn't get enough. Monday was a rough one, I had a lot of difficulties forcing myself to do anything that did not include sitting outside one the warmest day Creede had seen all year. I did do a little reading related to my papers so there was a step in the right direction.
Today started better I have already gone through 10 or so prectice tests, after washing all the dishes, making the fire, and making breakfast with miss Amy. Let us hope I can continue to be productive throughout the day.
I'll let you know how it goes.

From Puppies to Toby Keith

So as I sit on my couch avoiding my speech homework and practicum final on Monday I realize just how boring my life is at the moment compared to Lacy and Latasha. Latasha returned last month from a 5 month journey over seas for an internship and galavanting around with friends.
Miss Lacy is only half way through her adventures abroad trying to live it up as a student and see the world.
But then I realized that I have my share of traveling recently but everyone has gone with me so I didn't really feel the need to post it, for fear that no one would care. I have decided I will try to avoid that thinking from now on and remember that while athletic trainers aren't "allowed" to have a life I still live and do the best I can. Therefore here is a little recap in pictures of the last few months and all their excitement. I went on a cruise in Aug but it wouldn't let me download any more pictures

The puppies aren't they cute!
They were born Oct 9th three boys one girl.

Athletic Training Halloween Party! Just a few of my class mates. JJ was suppose to be Michael Phelps. He even wore a speedo but didn't want to show it off.

Ah yes my last Football game as a senior. The Bedlam game. Even if things didn't turn out the way we wanted it was still fun. I got pictures with friends, my cheerleaders, and yes Toby Keith!

And it begins...

So after many days of deliberation and consulting those with greater creativity than myself I have finally established a name and URL. Katie Current, this is of course thanks to my dear friend Lacy. I hope you all like it and enjoy. As I said before I can't guarantee that I will keep up with this between now and graduation but I will do the best I can.
To begin it finally hit me yesterday that I am graduating this year. I went to the grad fair and picked up my cap and gown with excitement that was quickly followed by a bit of panic that I still have so much work to do and it's almost Spring Break!!!!! As long I just keep breathing and remember that I'm not the only working on half of this stuff I should be OK.

Next, Wyatt thinks I'm crazy for getting into this but I figure it's the best way to let everyone know what is going on once we start moving around for the Marines. I mean who knows where we may be.
If you have not yet heard Yes Wyatt is joining the Marines as an officer. He leaves for Officer Candidate School this summer and then comes back to finish school before we head off to see the world. He'll be seeing it from the air while I'll be on the ground with our future family. (Riley and Roxy as of now)
Riley & Roxy are doing great they had puppies a little earlier than we had planned but they are adorable and with their new families. They will always be our little ones.
Aren't they so cute?

I guess I should be going now I have to get back to my homework It will all be over soon. I hope you have enjoyed my little blurb and stick around for more. At some point.
See ya around
